These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website [www.britanniabullion.com] (http://www.britanniabullion.com]), and your purchase, sale, or interaction with our products and services, including gold and precious metals. By accessing our website or engaging with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our website or services.

We are Montford Group Ltd, trading as Britannia Bullion, a company registered in the United Kingdom with our registered office at Montford Group Ltd, Suite 70MS, Unit 3AB, 34-35 Hatton Garden, Holborn, London, EC1N 8DX.

Definitions

  • "Goods": Physical gold, certified gold coins, or other precious metals offered for sale or purchase by Britannia Bullion.
  • "You": The customer, including any agents acting on your behalf.
  • "Loose Gold": Uncertified or ungraded gold items, such as scrap gold or bullion without certification.
  • "Certified Gold": Professionally certified gold coins or items.

Ordering and Pricing

3.1 Placing an Order: When you place an order, it’s an offer to purchase Goods subject to these Terms. We reserve the right to accept or decline your order at our discretion (e.g., due to stock availability or pricing fluctuations).

3.2 Pricing: Prices for Goods are based on live precious metal market rates and may fluctuate until your order is confirmed. The price you pay is the price displayed at the time you complete checkout, unless otherwise agreed. All prices exclude VAT unless stated (e.g. for silver products where applicable).

3.3 Payment: Full payment is required before dispatch. We accept direct bank transfer, card payment and via BACS, which is handled through our regulated solicitor protection account, managed by Alison Law Solicitors, a fully authorised and regulated law firm (SRA No. 558175) . No Goods will be dispatched until payment clears. Some credit card payments will be subject to an additional fee of 1%

3.4 Price Adjustments: Due to market fluctuations, we may adjust prices for unconfirmed orders. If this happens, we’ll notify you and give you the option to accept the new price or cancel without penalty.

Delivery

4.1 Goods are delivered via insured shipping to the address you provide. Delivery costs are outlined at checkout or detailed within our invoice provided prior to payment.

4.2 We aim to dispatch orders within 2 business days of payment clearance via secure insured delivery providers , though delays may occur due to factors beyond our control. Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery.

Selling to Us – Buy-Back Policy 

5.1 Loose Gold: We offer to buy back loose gold (e.g., scrap or uncertified bullion) at 97% of the current market spot price, determined by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) fix on the day we receive and assess your items.

5.2 Certified Gold: For certified gold coins or items, we will offer a fair market price based on condition, rarity, and market demand at the time of assessment. Alternatively, you may choose to consign your certified gold to our sister company, Gold Bidder, for auction.

5.3 Process: To sell to us, contact us for instructions. You’ll ship your Goods to us at your expense (unless pre-agreed). We’ll assess the items and provide a valuation within  3 business days of receipt. You can accept our offer or opt for auction via Gold Bidder. If you decline both, we’ll return your items at your cost.

5.4 Payment: Upon agreement, we’ll pay you via bank transfer within 5 business days.

Gold Bidder Auction Option

6.1 If you choose to auction certified gold through Gold Bidder, their separate Terms and Conditions apply available at (https://goldbidder.co.uk/) .We act as a facilitator only and are not liable for auction outcomes, fees, or disputes.

No Refunds or Right to Cancel 

7.1 All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or the right to cancel once an order is confirmed, except where required by law (e.g., if Goods are faulty or misdescribed). Due to the fluctuating nature of precious metals markets, your agreement to purchase is binding upon payment. Please ensure you’re certain before ordering.

Liability

8.1 We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., lost profits) arising from your use of our Website or Goods. Our total liability is limited to the value of your order.

8.2 We don’t guarantee market performance or future value of Goods—precious metal prices can go down as well as up.

Intellectual Property

All content on our Website (e.g., text, images) is owned by Montford Group Ltd or our licensors. You may not reproduce it without permission.

Privacy

Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy. We are committed to compliance with UK data protection laws and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We use your data to process orders, provide services, and contact you about your transactions.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes apply to orders placed after the update date, posted on our Website.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England.
