The Royal Mint presents the eighth release in the Tudor Beasts Collection – The Queen’s Lion 2026. This 1oz gold bullion coin celebrates the enduring legacy of Tudor heraldry, featuring the iconic emblem of courage and nobility associated with Jane Seymour.
The reverse design, crafted by David Lawrence, depicts the Queen’s Lion supporting a shield bearing Jane Seymour’s badge, set against a background reflecting the grandeur of the Tudor period. Advanced surface animation technology enhances both the visual appeal and security of the coin.
The obverse features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings, making this release a remarkable blend of historical significance and contemporary craftsmanship.
